Madhya Pradesh: Ornate Transformation Awaits Orchha's Ramraja Temple on Jan 22; One Lakh Diyas to Illuminate Betwa's Banks

Orchha: In line with the grand consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a series of religious events are planned in temples and ashrams throughout Madhya Pradesh. The distinguished Shri Ramraja Temple of Orchha, often referred to as the Ayodhya of Bundelkhand, is set to undergo a regal metamorphosis adorned with vibrant flowers and various illuminations.

A meeting chaired by MLA Anil Jain, with Niwari collector Arun Kumar Vishwakarma, was held on Wednesday to discuss the preparations for the event.

The collector announced that on January 22, the Shri Ramraja Temple will be meticulously adorned with lights and flowers. Additionally, the city will be bedecked with flags and banners, and arrangements will be in place for the distribution of Prasad to devotees on the temple premises.

One Lakh Diyas to Illuminate Betwa's Banks

Following the Aarti of Betwaji in the evening, Kanchana Ghat on the Betwa River will be aglow with the radiance of one lakh earthen lamps. Bhajan kirtan performances by various groups will resonate at religious sites across the city.

A live telecast of Ayodhya's Pran Pratishtha program will be showcased, and a large screen installed in front of the Shri Ramraja gallery will broadcast the inauguration of the grand Shri Ram Temple and the consecration of Ramlala's idol. Electronic fireworks will light up the evening, with one lakh diyas also set to illuminate Kanchana Ghat from 6 p.m. onwards.
