BJP National Convention in Delhi to Strategze for Lok Sabha Elections-2024

NEW DELHI: Commencing today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will convene a two-day national convention at Bharat Mandap in Delhi, with the primary focus on formulating strategies for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The event will kick off with an address by the party's national president, JP Nadda, and is scheduled to feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi's keynote speech on Sunday.


The convention's agenda includes a meeting of the party's national office bearers, the hoisting of the party flag by National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, and an exhibition visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival. 


The meeting, attended by national officials, state presidents, organization ministers, and Lok Sabha cluster in-charges, commenced at 11 am, with JP Nadda addressing the gathering around 11:30 am. Prime Minister Modi's address is slated for approximately 12:30 pm.

Two key proposals are expected to be presented during the meeting. The first proposal will focus on political issues, particularly highlighting Modi's vision for a developed India. The second proposal is anticipated to express gratitude for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.


Various dignitaries to participate


The convention will see the participation of various dignitaries, including ministers from the central cabinet, national and state-level party officials, members of the national council, current and former MPs, MLAs, members of legislative councils, former state presidents, coordinators of the Lok Sabha clusters, mayors, chairpersons of municipal corporations and municipalities, district panchayat presidents, district presidents, district coordinators, state coordinators of various fronts, media, and social media & IT cell coordinators.


Modi has set an ambitious target for BJP


Sources indicate that Prime Minister Modi has set an ambitious target for the BJP to secure 370 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Achieving this goal will hinge on showcasing the achievements of the Modi government over the past decade, especially in the realm of welfare schemes for the poor. Strategies are likely be devised to extend these achievements to the grassroots level, involving over 11,000 representatives.
