BJP National Convention: PM Modi urges party workers to reach every voter in next 100 days for decisive win

New Delhi: Noting that the BJP will have to cross 370 seats for the NDA to surge past the 400-mark in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged party workers to reach and engage every voter in the next 100 days for a decisive third term of the government.

"Over the next 100 days, our goal is to unite and engage with every new voter, every beneficiary, every sector, and every community. It is essential to earn the trust of the people, and with collective efforts, the BJP will have the opportunity to serve the nation with the highest mandate ever," PM Modi said here while addressing the BJP's national convention.

While he highlighted the achievements of the government over the last 10 years, Modi said that the next five years would play a crucial role in realizing the dream of a developed India.

"To achieve our goals, the first step is the BJP’s grand return to power. ... To make this a reality, the BJP must secure over 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections," he stated.

Modi said that he was not asking for the decisive mandate for political gains or enjoying power but for taking the nation forward.

He noted that the government had completed many tasks that had been pending for decades and centuries.

"We have shown the courage to solve the problems that were pending for centuries. By building a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, we have ended the wait of five centuries. The dharma dhwaja has been unfurled in Pavagadh, Gujarat, after 500 years. After seven decades, we have opened the Kartarpur Sahib corridor. After waiting for seven decades, the country has gotten rid of Article 370," PM Modi said.

He also took a jibe at opposition parties and said that they may not know how to fulfill their promises, but they don’t hesitate to make false promises.

"Despite this, they lack the courage to make one promise: no opposition party will promise you a 'Viksit Bharat'. Nor do they question us about it. These parties have acknowledged that they cannot lead India to development," he said.

BJP adopts resolution on Ayodhya

The BJP adopted a resolution on the opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on the closing day of its National Convention at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam on Sunday.

In an event that generated massive positive vibes and euphoria and was beamed and followed globally, the idol of Ram Lalla was ceremonially enthoned at the temple during a grand 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony on January 22.

The resolution on Ram Mandir stated, "Undoubtedly, the ritual of construction of Ram temple could be completed because of the blessings of Lord Ram on the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi)."

The two-day national convention was aimed at firming up the BJP's strategy and charging up the rank and file ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
