Madhya Pradesh: Jabalpur Rly Station to undergo renovation inspired by Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati Station, will have these facilities

Jabalpur Railway Station is set to undergo a major transformation, following the model of Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, with the Western Central Railway aiming to elevate it to international standards. The ambitious project, estimated at approximately 500 crores, aims to provide passengers with facilities comparable to those found in airports.

Scheduled for a virtual inauguration ceremony on February 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will initiate the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 12 stations, inaugurate 14 R.O.Bs (Road Over Bridges) and R.U.Bs (Road Under Bridges), and unveil 7 R.O.Bs and L.H.Ss (Limited Height Subways).

Harshit Srivastava, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Central Railway, mentioned that preparations for local-level events on the same day are already in progress.

Under the Amrit Bharat Yojana, Jabalpur Railway Station is undergoing a comprehensive transformation to meet international standards. The revised blueprint includes the construction of two new platforms, increasing the total platform count from 6 to 8.

Emphasizing aesthetics and beautification in alignment with global standards, the redesigned station's front area will offer captivating views of Jabalpur's renowned tourist spots, such as Bhedaghat and the mesmerizing Dhuandhar Falls. The overarching goal of the project is to position Jabalpur Railway Station as a state-of-the-art transportation hub, providing world-class facilities to travelers.
