Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Voice of Hindustan has emerged from Mumbai: Rahul Gandhi at India Alliance rally

Rahul Gandhi said that today, the 'Voice of Hindustan' has emerged from Mumbai. Referring to BJP, he said a force determined to fracture our nation will never triumph over the resilience of INDIA.

Rahul was speaking during the India Alliance rally in Mumbai, which marked the culmination of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

Rahul said Narendra Modi represents the face of detrimental influence, embodying the same force that has subjugated India's institutions, exploited its farmers, laborers, youth, women, and marginalized its small industries for the benefit of a select few billionaires. This force monopolizes corruption in our nation today. The time has come to vehemently counter this influence; it is a collective responsibility, yours, mine, and everyone's. Once again, in this land of compassion, 'Hate shall falter, INDIA shall prevail'!

EVM machine is akin to a thief: Farooq Abdullah

Farooq Abdullah, the President of the National Conference, asserted that if the coalition ascends to power, Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be eliminated. He said the Election Commission would function as an independent institution.

According to Abdullah, "The EVM machine is akin to a thief, jeopardizing the integrity of your vote. We've clamored for its removal persistently. With the advent of a coalition government in India, I foresee the demise of this contentious machine."

Rahul Gandhi echoed similar sentiments. He said that "Raja's soul is in EVM and is in every institution of India, it is in ED, CBI, Income Tax Department."

He said, "We are fighting a force."

Rahul asked, "Why is the Election Commission not ready to tally the slips coming out of EVMs?"

'BJP wants to change Constitution'

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, "Modi ji has the power of RSS, RSS ideology and Manuvad. He wants to crush us completely."

Kharge said, "A BJP MP from Karnataka says that two-thirds majority is required because the Constitution has to be changed. This is not for the good. We are lucky to have got democracy and the Constitution."

Sharad Pawar, the Chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), emphasized the significance of Mumbai, where Mahatma Gandhi had ignited the Quit India movement. He said, "It was in this city that Mahatma Gandhi had given the slogan of Quit India. Today, in the same city, we should think about how to get rid of the BJP."

'A beacon to establish peace, harmony, and fraternity'

Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of RJD, spoke at the rally, marking the conclusion of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. He emphasized Rahul Gandhi's nationwide journey, aiming to convey a message.

"In a time marked by the spread of hatred, discussions of conflict, propaganda, and the manipulation of constitutional institutions, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Rahul Gandhi for his efforts to safeguard democracy and the Constitution. His yatra stands as a beacon to establish peace, harmony, and fraternity, countering the forces of animosity."

Several Opposition leaders were present

The India Alliance rally at Mumbai's Shivaji Park saw the presence of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, former Chief Minister of Kashmir and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader MK Stalin, and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, along with several other opposition leaders.

Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and SP President Akhilesh Yadav was unable to attend, citing prior commitments.
