Grand Alliance Rally in Bihar: Lalu Yadav Asserts United Opposition Will Oust BJP, What Did Tejashwi Say?

Patna: Lalu Prasad Yadav led opposition leaders in a rally in Patna, Bihar, emphasized the alliance's determination to remove BJP from power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The rally of opposition parties was also addressed by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and RJD leader and former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav.

All the opposition leaders launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

Lalu Yadav, addressing the rally in Patna, predicted the alliance's success in defeating BJP.

Rahul Gandhi highlighted the ideological clash between BJP and opposition, emphasizing love, brotherhood, and respect versus hatred, violence, and ego.

Akhilesh Yadav criticized BJP's tenure, citing farmer discontent and joblessness, expressing hope for change in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Tejashwi Yadav predicted the end of Nitish Kumar's JD(U) in 2024 and accused BJP of becoming a political "dustbin party."

Lalu Prasad Yadav spoke last in the rally.  He asked the supporters gathered in the rally, “We have to win Delhi. Are you ready?

Lalu Yadav said that the air of Bihar changes the air of the country. He said, “There is so much strength in the air of Bihar that whatever decision Bihar takes, the people of the country follow it.”

He targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who returned to NDA.

Lalu Yadav said that Nitish Kumar will get upset after seeing the huge crowd gathered in the rally.

Lalu Yadav alleged that PM Modi is 'spreading hatred among the people across the country.'

He said, “BJP is spreading hatred across the country, they are spreading hatred among the followers of Ram-Rahim.”

In his speech, Lalu Yadav praised Tejashwi for giving job to youths.

'Lalu is not afraid, son will also not be afraid'

Tejashwi Yadav replied to those who call Rashtriya Janata Dal a party of Muslims and Yadavs.

Tejashwi Yadav said, “RJD stands for: R means rights, J means jobs and D means development. RJD means rights, jobs and development.”

In recent times, many RJD MLAs have left the party. Tejashwi Yadav said that it does not matter to him if any leader leaves.

Tejashwi said, “Just some MLAs move from here to there, it will not make any difference. But they cannot buy the public. The public will give a befitting reply. My father (Lalu) never got afraid of anyone nor bowed down. When Lalu ji is not afraid then will his son be afraid? I will fight till my last breath. This is a battle of ideologies.”

Tejashwi Yadav also accused the central government of using agencies and intimidating opposition leaders.

He said, “There was an alliance in Uttar Pradesh, immediately CBI people sent summons to Akhilesh ji. Summons were sent to our entire family, but we are not afraid. We will neither be afraid nor bow down, we will stand with the people in the people's fight."

BJP has become a dustbin party

Tejashwi Yadav cornered Bharatiya Janata Party on the issue of corruption.

He said, “When a corrupt person joins BJP, he ruling party's "washing machine" begins its operation to clean such tainted leaders. Now BJP has become a dustbin party along with washing machine. It has become a dustbin in which all the political waste is going. All the party's garbage is going to BJP."
