India Alliance Rally: Rahul Gandhi Said BJP Has Manipulated Key Institutions, What Priyanka Said?

During the India Alliance rally held at Ramlila Maidan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of attempting to manipulate the Lok Sabha elections, labeling it as 'match fixing.'

The rally, named "Loktantra Bachao" or 'save democracy', witnessed a convergence of key Opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Farooq Abdullah, among others.

Among the many notable Opposition leaders present at the rally were Sharad Pawar of the NCP, Uddhav Thackeray representing Shiv Sena (UBT), Akhilesh Yadav from the Samajwadi Party, Sitaram Yechury of the CPI(M), D Raja of the CPI, PDP's Mehbooba Mufti, and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren.

Rahul Gandhi asserted that the opposition's collective effort aims to thwart BJP's alleged scheme. He emphasized the critical nature of the election, warning that failure to vote diligently could result in the success of BJP's planned match fixing, ultimately endangering the Constitution.

"This election isn't ordinary; it's about safeguarding our Constitution, our nation, and the rights of the marginalized," Gandhi declared, highlighting the visible signs of match fixing within the BJP ranks.

He further alleged that the BJP had manipulated key institutions and orchestrated strategic moves, including arrests of prominent leaders and financial interference, all timed for electoral advantage.

Taking his accusations to social media platform 'X,' Rahul Gandhi reiterated his stance, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of planning a constitutional overhaul through election manipulation tactics.

Gandhi contended that BJP's strategies, akin to 'buying players' and influencing officials, were aimed at securing an improbable victory, while the reality contradicted their inflated claims.

"The essence of this election is beyond mere governance; it's about preserving our nation and its constitutional ethos," Gandhi emphasized in his online post.

Priyanka draws parallels between tale of Lord Ram and current political scenario

At the India Alliance rally, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra drew parallels between the tale of Lord Ram and the current political scenario, urging BJP leaders to reflect on the values of truth and humility exemplified by the mythological figure.

Highlighting the India Alliance's demands, Priyanka Gandhi emphasized the need for a fair electoral playing field, ending alleged government intimidation tactics against opposition parties, and the release of detained leaders like Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal.

Priyanka also called for an investigation into BJP's financial practices and urged for the formation of a special investigative team under the Supreme Court's supervision.
