Lok Sabha Elections-2024: Congress's Plan to Challenge Scindia in Guna: Jitu Patwari drops hints about party's strategy

In the lead-up to the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the BJP has unveiled its candidates in Madhya Pradesh, signaling the start of the electoral battle. The announcement coincided with Rahul Gandhi's presence in Gwalior Chambal, Madhya Pradesh. In a significant move, the BJP nominated Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had defected from Congress in 2020, from the same seat he lost in the 2019 elections while being a part of Congress. Now, Congress is preparing to challenge Scindia in his traditional stronghold of Guna, with Jitu Patwari dropping hints about the party's strategy.

During Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Guna, Jitu Patwari referred to BJP MP KP Yadav as a warrior. Responding to questions from journalists about the party's plan to corner Jyotiraditya Scindia, Patwari emphasized that Scindia's defection to BJP made any discussion about him irrelevant. Patwari  announced that a candidate akin to the warrior KP Yadav would be fielded against Scindia in Guna. Jitu Patwari also avoided giving a direct reply to the possibility of fielding Digvijaya Singh from the Guna Lok Sabha seat.

Resentment in Yadav community

The cancellation of KP Yadav's ticket and the allocation of the seat to Scindia by BJP has sparked resentment in the Yadav community, which holds a significant number of votes in Guna. There are more than 2.5 lakh Yadav voters in Guna Lok Sabha seat. Congress aims to capitalize on this discontent by fielding an influential candidate from the Yadav community. If the Yadav community unites against Scindia and BJP, it could prove detrimental to their electoral prospects. However, despite the setback and denial of ticket, KP Yadav has stated his commitment to working within the BJP organization.

Modi betrayed Shivraj: Jitu

While giving advice to Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Jitu Patwari said that he should take care of himself. Actually, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made statements about Rahul Gandhi's love for Pakistan. Responding to this allegation, Jitu Patwari said Shivraj Singh is a civilized and noble person. Such statements do not befit him.

Shivraj wants to be close to Modi ji by making such statements. What did Modi do to Shivraj Singh in the assembly elections? Election was fought in the name of Shivraj Singh but the public was cheated. Shivraj Singh should not forget this, said Jitu adding PM Modi betrayed Shivraj.

Jaivardhan raised slogans in support of Rahul

When Rahul Gandhi reached Raghogarh with Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Jaivardhan Singh started running in front of Rahul's car shouting slogans. Jaivardhan Singh raised the slogan, “Look who has come, the lion has come, the lion has come.” Jaivardhan kept raising this slogan again and again. When Rahul Gandhi reached Raghogarh with Nyay Yatra, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh welcomed him.

Rahul Gandhi did a road show in Guna. In Guna, Rahul Gandhi did a road show by standing in an open jeep for 3 km. Jitu Patwari and Jaivardhan Singh were also present along with Rahul Gandhi. As soon as Rahul Gandhi reached Raghogarh, Digvijaya Singh came forward and welcomed him.
