Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav inaugurates Krantisurya Tantya Bhil and Tatya Tope Universities


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that students of Nimar region will be immensely benefited in their perusal of higher education with the start of Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University, Khargone and Krantiveer Tatya Tope University, Guna. 


Inaugurating these universities, Dr. Yadav informed that agricultural science will also be taught in Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University, Khargone. Transportation facilities will be arranged for students to reach the university campus.


Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was inaugurating Tantya Bhil University, Khargone in Khargone. Dr. Yadav also digitally launched the Krantiveer Tatya Tope University, Guna. CM Dr. Yadav also inaugurated irrigation schemes costing Rs 557 crore.


Important steps in higher education


CM Dr. Yadav said that the Nimar is the land of valiant heroes like Bajirao Peshwa. In the first Indian freedom struggle of 1857, brave-heart Tantya Bhil fought against the British. As a mark of respect towards him, the Madhya Pradesh government has named the new university of Khargone after him as Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University.


Dr. Yadav said that there will be arrangements for education of all subjects in the new universities of Khargone and Guna. Agricultural science will also be added. These universities and the colleges associated with them will not only award degrees but also become a medium for the study of cultural nationalism and ancient civilization. 


Students of Nimar, Guna regions to get immense academic benefits


About 63 thousand students of Nimar region’s Khargone besides Barwani, Alirajpur, Khandwa and Burhanpur districts will also benefit from the new university. Similarly, Tatya Tope University started in Guna will be useful for about 61 thousand students of Ashok Nagar and Shivpuri districts including Guna. 


Students of Guna region now will not have to go to Gwalior University. By starting 3 universities in two days, an important step has been taken in the field of higher education in the state.


Requisite posts with budgetary provisions have also been approved for new universities. Inclination of students towards higher education has continuously increased in Madhya Pradesh. The gross enrollment ratio has improved tremendously. A short film on the achievements of Madhya Pradesh in higher education sector was also screened.
