PM Modi targets opposition in Meerut rally, said: 'LS polls are a fight between two camps on corruption.'

In NDA's Meerut rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the opposition leaders of corruption and said that this Lok Sabha election is a fight between two camps on corruption.

He said, "These people together have formed an alliance. They think that Modi will be scared of them, but for me it is 'my India, my family'. Today big corrupt people are behind the bars. They are not getting bail. That's why many big corrupt people have to make rounds of the court."

PM Modi said, "This election of 2024 is not just about forming the government, it is not about who becomes MP and who doesn't. The election of 2024 is for making a developed India. The mandate of 2024 will make India the third largest economic superpower in the world."

'We are making a road map for coming 5 years'

After the formation of the new government, what major decisions have to be taken in the first 100 days. Work is going on. You saw the trailer of development in the last 10 years, now we have to take the country much further."

This rally held in Meerut was named 'Gaurav Samaroh'. This rally was organized after the country's former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh received the Bharat Ratna award.

Modi criticized the Congress for ceding Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka in 1974, asserting, "The decision to relinquish the strategically vital island of Katchatheevu, situated between India and Sri Lanka, was made by the Congress post-independence. India continues to bear the repercussions of the Congress government's past actions."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Rashtriya Lok Dal President Jayant Chaudhary were also present in this rally.

'I have a special relationship with Meerut'

Claiming that he has a special relationship with Meerut, PM Modi said, "I have a special relationship with Meerut. I started my election campaign in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Meerut itself. And now, for the 2024 elections, for the first time the rally is also being organized in Meerut. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are not an election to elect a government, but an election to make a 'developed India'."

Remembering Chaudhary Charan Singh, PM Modi said, "This land of Meerut is the land of revolution and revolutionary heroes. This land has the blessings of Baba Aughad Dham. This land has given great sons like Chaudhary Charan Singh to the country. Our government has the privilege of awarding him the Bharat Ratna. I pay my respectful tribute to him."
