Ujjain: The two-day Regional Industry Conclave organized in the Engineering College campus of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, concluded on Saturday. Representatives from USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Israel, Japan, Gabon, South Korea, Singapore, Zambia and Malaysia participated in this conclave. About 4 thousand delegates participated.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav interacted with investors separately. He held one-to-one discussions with officials of more than 20 major industrial groups. Virtual inauguration of 63 units was also performed in the conclave, for which programs were organized at different 21 places in the state. There will be an investment of Rs 10 thousand 64 crore in the state from these units, which will provide direct employment to more than 17 thousand people.
Land allotment orders given to 283 big and MSME units
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav also gave land allotment orders to 283 big and MSME units in the conclave for investment of more than Rs 12 thousand 170 crore. This was the highlight of the conclave, which was appreciated by the investors and also by the general public and public representatives. For the first time in the state, orders for allotment of land to such a large number of industrial units have been received from the platform itself.
10,000 technical employment opportunities will be created
LTI Mindtree (a global technology consulting and digital solutions company) has signed an MOU with the state government under which there will be an investment of Rs 500 crore in the proposed campus of the institute in Super Corridor Indore. For this, 10 acres of land has been allotted to the institute under the IT policy of the government. This investment will create approximately 10 thousand technical employment opportunities in the state.
Air ambulance launched
A Mukhya Mantri Air Ambulance Service was initiated in Madhya Pradesh during the conclave itself. The service will prove to be a boon for the poor class. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated it on the concluding day of the conclave. Under this service, one heli-ambulance and one fixed wing converted flying ICU aircraft will be deployed to serve the citizens of all the districts and administrative divisions of the state. Both will have a team of highly trained doctors and paramedics. The doctors and paramedics will undergo special training in Aero Medical Sciences Fellowship. All citizens of the state will benefit from this service.
Discussions held in five regional sessions on new investment possibilities
The conclave featured five regional sessions in two days to provide detailed information on sector-wise investment opportunities. Serious discussion was held in the sessions MSMEs and start-ups, investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, dairy, agro, food processing, investment opportunities in infrastructure development and religious tourism. Similarly, discussions were also held regarding opportunities and challenges of pharma medical devices. These sessions will help explore new investment possibilities in the state.
Buyer-seller meet held, exhibitions became center of attraction
The Regional Industry Conclave showcased diverse investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, minerals, engineering, textiles, IT and electronics, urban infrastructure. The State government is working simultaneously to promote export and domestic trade of ODOP and other products of the State, for which a separate Buyer-Seller meeting area has been created.
The conclave witnessed more than 2500 buyer-seller meetings over two days, highlighting the enthusiasm of the participants. To showcase the industrial environment of Madhya Pradesh, three exhibitions were set-up, in which information about the industrial ecosystem of the state was given through 16 different types of industries.
Along with the policies of the state, information about ODOP products was also given in Madhya Pradesh Pavilion. A special publication related to ODOP was also made, which was also released in the conclave. The participating representatives in the conclave welcomed the publication of useful information and notifications related to the industrial sector of Madhya Pradesh.
For the first time, a two-day fruitful event of the industry sector was held in Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal. With the mythological importance of Ujjain on world stage, this new initiative of industrial revolution has been welcomed by all.
Biggest investment came from Adani Group
The biggest investment through the conclave has come from Adani Group, which has come forward to invest Rs 75 thousand crore in the state. PepsiCo Group is also investing Rs 1250 crore in Vikram Udyogpuri of Ujjain. This will provide employment to about 500 people.
