Bhopal: Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has been bereaved. Son-in-law of Singh, former CM of Madhya Pradesh and Congress candidate from Rajgarh parliamentary constituency, succumbed to cancer on Sunday night. His last rites will be performed today in Lucknow
Digvijaya Singh himself gave information about this on social media platform X. He told, 'Last night my elder son-in-law Raja Ratnakar Singh Ramnagar passed away tragically. Ratnakar, 61, was suffering from cancer for almost a year. I am in Lucknow for his last rites. In this hour of grief, I am suspending the election campaign and am with my daughter Mrinalini and my family.”
Meanwhile, according to the information given by Singh's office, all the programs of ex-CM scheduled for today have been cancelled.
Singh is the party candidate from Rajgarh parliamentary constituency. Voting is to be held in Rajgarh on May 7.
