Madhya Pradesh: Showers Lash Bhopal; Rainfall Expected Across Multiple Districts; This Is Met Dept’s Prediction


Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The onset of a Western Disturbance has prompted the weather department to forecast gusty winds and precipitation across Madhya Pradesh. 


Over the next 24 hours, showers are anticipated in 17 districts, including Jabalpur and Chhindwara. On Monday, Bhopal witnessed cloudy skies since morning, with showers reported later in the day. Showers had lashed city on Sunday evening also


Light rain has been occurring in many districts of the state for the last 3 days. After the intense heat on Sunday, the weather changed in many districts in the evening. Rains also occurred in Bhopal, Raisen and Narmadapuram.


Amidst the scorching heat in the capital Bhopal, it rained with thunder and lightning today i.e. Monday morning and afternoon. After the rainfall for some time, the Sun also came out.


It was hot throughout the day in the capital on Sunday and the temperature was recorded at 37.7 degrees Celsius. After this, the weather suddenly changed in the evening and it started raining.


There was heavy rain in many areas on Sunday for 10 to 15 minutes. In Narmadapuram too, rainfall occurred along with thunder and lightning. It rained for 15 to 20 minutes in Itarsi, due to which the roads of the city became drenched.


Along with this, rainfall occurred in Barwah of Khargone. Besides, electricity supply was also affected due to changing weather. The weather also changed on Sunday night in Indore, Sagar, Vidisha, Burhanpur, Raisen, Barwani, Sehore, Harda, Betul, Damoh, Narsinghpur.

On Monday, rainfall was observed in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Betul, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Pandhurna, Balaghat, Mandla, Katni, Maihar, Umaria, Dindori, Shahdol, and Anuppur districts.


Tuesday will bring showers to Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, and Dindori districts.


Rise in temps from April 25 onward


Senior scientist Dr. Vedprakash Singh from IMD Bhopal anticipates light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning over the next two days, followed by clearing weather and a sharp rise in temperatures from April 25 onwards. Cities currently experiencing temperatures of 40-42 degrees Celsius may see readings climb to 42-44 degrees Celsius. Nights are also expected to remain warm, with increased humidity levels.
