Why Sakshi Malik said country's daughters have lost?

Lok Sabha Election-2024: Olympic medal winner wrestler Sakshi Malik has reacted to the ticket being given to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's son.

Sakshi Malik has written on the social media site X, "The daughters of the country have lost, Brij Bhushan has won."

She said that leaving aside the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, his son has been given a ticket. By giving ticket to his son today, BJP has broken the morale of crores of daughters of the country.

Questioning the current government, Sakshi Malik has written in her post, "The ticket has been given to a member of the same family, is the country's government so weak in front of one man?" 

Sakshi Malik, along with her fellow wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, has been fighting against accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the sexual harassment case for more than a year.

This time, BJP has canceled the ticket of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from Kaiserganj seat but has made his son Karan Singh its candidate.

Leaders of opposition parties are also criticizing this.
