Bhopal: For the first time on Friday morning, the Bhopal Metro train ran at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour on the Priority Corridor of the Metro. However, just a day before this, the Metro was run at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour on this corridor.
Managing Director of Metro, Sibi Chakraborty said that according to the design of the Metro, the fixed speed of the Metro is 90 kilometers per hour. But as there is a metro station at a distance of every two kilometers, the metro will be able to run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour only.
