Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the saga of the Emergency struggle will be included in the curriculum. The curriculum will highlight the circumstances, oppression, and spirit of the Loktantra Senanis to educate the present generation about the hardships faced during the Emergency.
Dr. Yadav said this while addressing the regional conference of Loktantra Senanis at his residence, where he welcomed them with a shower of flowers. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp and garlanding the portraits of Bharat Mata, Nanaji Deshmukh, and Jaiprakash Narayan. The conference commenced with the rendition of Vande Mataram.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that the Chief Minister’s residence is part of the democratic system, and Loktantra Senanis are the most respected individuals within this system.
Loktantra Senanis to receive numerous facilities
CM Dr. Yadav said that several new facilities will be available for Loktantra Senanis. They will be able to stay for three days in Circuit Houses and Rest Houses and will receive a 50 percent discount on fares. Tamra Patras will be provided to those who have not yet received them.
Additionally, Loktantra Senanis will receive discounts at toll points upon presenting their passes. Medical expenses incurred through their Ayushman card will be paid without delay, with the collector ensuring payment within three months.
For serious health issues, an air ambulance will be available to transport them to major hospitals or metropolitan cities for treatment. The state's air taxi facility will offer a 25 percent discount on fares. Funeral of Loktantra Senanis will be conducted with national honors, and the funeral assistance amount will be increased from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
Employment opportunities for the family members of Loktantra Senanis will be facilitated through training for establishing industries or other business activities.
Loktantra Senanis honored
State President of Loktantra Senani Sangh Tapan Bhowmik greeted Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav by presenting him a shawl, shriphal and memento. In the program, Loktantra Senanis Minister Tulsi Silavat, former Minister Vikram Verma, Ajay Vishnoi, Ramkrishna Kusmaria apart from Meghraj, Kailash Soni, Makhan Singh, Ashok Pandey, Suryakant Kelkar and Suresh Deshpande were honoured with angavastras and their struggles as Loktantra Senanis were mentioned.
