Maharashtra: What Devendra Fadnavis said while offering to resign from Deputy CM post?

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign taking responsibility for the poor performance of BJP in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections-2024.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign taking responsibility for poor performance of BJP in Maharashtra in Lok Sabha elections-2024.

Congress has won the maximum number of 13 seats in Maharashtra. At the same time, its ally Shiv Sena (UBT) has won nine and Nationalist Congress Party has won eight seats.

On the other hand, BJP has won only 9 seats. At the same time, its ally Shiv Sena has won seven.

Devendra Fadnavis has said that he should be relieved from the post of Deputy Chief Minister because he now wants to work in the party organization.

Fadnavis said that Mahavikas Aghadi has got 2 crore 50 lakh votes and we have got 2 crore 48 lakh votes.

He said, "But the difference in seats due to these two lakh votes is such that Maha Vikas Aghadi has got 30 seats and we have got only 17 seats."

Fadnavis said, "Since as a leader, the entire responsibility of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Maharashtra was on me, this defeat that we have faced in Maharashtra is completely mine. I accept it. I am not a person who will run away. We will prepare a new strategy by taking the entire party together and will go to the public with it."
