Bhopal: The Hindi fortnight being celebrated at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center (BMHRC) since September 14 concluded on September 30. During the closing ceremony, Rabindranath Tagore University Chancellor and senior litterateur Shri Santosh Chaubey was honoured with the 'Sahitya-Shri' decoration. BMHRC's Director-in-Charge Dr Manisha Srivastava gave him this honour.
Shri Chaubey expressed his gratitude to BMHRC for conferring the Sahitya-Shri award. Addressing the people present at the ceremony, Shri Chaubey said that the scope of language is very wide. Hindi is the language of our tradition, festivals and culture. I have reached here because of Hindi. Through one idea and one book, you can influence the whole world. Hindi is the largest language in the world. For the expansion of Hindi, it is necessary that we respect other languages as well. Respect different dialects too.
He said that the future of Hindi is very bright. Today big companies need people working in Hindi. Dr. Manisha Srivastava thanked Mr. Santosh Chaubey for coming to the program. In the closing ceremony, the winners of various competitions held during the Hindi fortnight were felicitated and the winners of the Hindi Protsahan Yojana were also rewarded.
