Indian Army to add Pralay Missile to its fleet soon, what are its features, where it will be deployed?

Pralay Missile: The Indian Army is now going to add the 400 km range Pralay missile to its fleet soon. This missile will be deployed on the border of China and Pakistan, which can destroy enemy bases and weapons depots in a moment. Its strength and firepower have made it dangerous for the enemy. 

The Pralay missile is a short range ballistic missile, with a range of 150 to 500 kilometers. This missile was approved for the Indian Air Force in 2022. After this, two of its units were also approved in April 2023. Now, the Indian Army is also preparing to include it in its rocket force.

Will be deployed in the border areas

The specialty of the Pralay missile is that it can destroy enemy bases from close range. Due to its short range, it can very quickly destroy enemy bases, bunkers, cannons and weapons depots. In December 2021, it was successfully tested twice within 24 hours. This missile will be deployed in the border areas of China and Pakistan.

Features of Pralay Missile

The accuracy and speed of the Pralay missile makes it the most lethal. It weighs about 5 tonnes and is capable of carrying conventional weapons weighing 500 to 1000 kg. This missile is based on three technologies - Prahar, Prithvi-2 and Prithvi-3. Its high speed makes it even more dangerous. 

Capable of attacking even at night

The Pralay missile is capable of attacking even at night. This ability makes it even more lethal for the enemy. With the help of infrared or thermal scanner installed in it, it can carry out accurate attacks even at night. This missile runs on initial guidance system and its fuel is solid propellant.

Will destroy a radius of 33 feet

The accuracy of the Pralay missile is so high that even if it falls within a radius of 33 feet from the target, that area will be completely destroyed. Its launching system is 8X8 Tata Transporter Erector Launcher, which enables it to be deployed immediately. The inclusion of Pralay missile in the Indian Army will further increase the defense capability of the country. The inclusion of this missile in the army will help during the fight with China and Pakistan. It will be used to suddenly attack the enemy base.
