Recently, scientists have discovered water reserves in the universe far away from Earth. They have discovered a young star in space, surrounded by a substantial disk of gas and dust. This formation closely resembles the early conditions of Earth during its formation approximately 4.5 billion years ago. Researchers believe that if the processes continue to unfold positively, it could lead to remarkable outcomes.
Scientists have named this star HL Tauri. It is located 450 light years away from Earth. Scientists say that a huge amount of water vapor has been seen around it. This water vapor is three times the volume of all the oceans present on Earth. NASA scientists have seen it using a telescope named ALMA.
Commenting on this new discovery, the lead astronomer from the University of Milan in Italy stated, "I never thought we could capture images of oceans of water vapor in the same region where a planet is likely to form." Research published in Nature Astronomy indicates that the presence of water vapor could enhance the likelihood of the planet being habitable after its formation.
Water vapor around HL Tauri is avorable for the birth of new planets
According to scientists, the large amount of water vapor present around HL Tauri is also favorable for the birth of new planets. It is believed that this water vapor situation is very similar to the conditions at the time of the formation of the Earth 4.5 billion years ago. Looking at the ocean of water vapor in this planetary part, Facchini said, 'Our recent pictures have given some new information. There is also a gap between the sufficient amount of water vapor. It is estimated that another planet may be formed here.
