BJP has decided the candidates for the by-elections to be held on Budhni and Vijaypur seats in Madhya Pradesh. BJP has announced the names of its candidates on both these seats. On the other hand, Congress has not yet opened its cards on both the seats.
BJP has made former MP Ramakant Bhargava its candidate from Budhni assembly seat of Sehore district. At the same time, Forest Minister Ramniwas Rawat has been given ticket from Vijaypur seat of Sheopur district. Voting will be held on both these assembly seats on November 13 next month. While counting of votes will be done on November 23.
Why BJP gave ticket to Bhargava from Budhni
Ramakant Bhargava, 71 years, has been given ticket by BJP. Bhargava was BJP MP from Vidisha seat in 2019. He is considered close to Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He has also been the chairman of Markfed. Along with this, he has also been the director of Apex Bank. Why Ramakant Bhargava was given ticket from Budhni. This is not hidden from anyone. He is considered to be Shivraj's choice. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP gave ticket to Shivraj by cutting Bhargava's ticket. Not only this, Bhargava has been in the role of election incharge of Shivraj Singh Chouhan 6 times in Budhni.
Ramniwas Rawat gets ticket from Vijaypur
Ramniwas Rawat, who was an MLA from Vijaypur, resigned from the post of MLA along with leaving the Congress. After this he joined the BJP. At that time, the BJP had promised to make him a minister and give him a ticket from Vijaypur itself, which has now been fulfilled.
