Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh Crowned Femina Miss India 2024 in Glamorous Finale

Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh has been crowned Femina Miss India 2024. Rekha Pandayy, representing the Union Territories, secured the second position, while Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat was named the second runner-up.

Nikita, an actress who began her career as a TV anchor at the age of 18, received her crown from last year's winner, Nandini Gupta, with Neha Dhupia adorning her with the Miss India sash.

The grand finale of the Miss India pageant took place in Mumbai on Wednesday night, featuring a performance by Sangeeta Bijlani, who also walked the ramp. The event saw appearances from notable personalities, including former Miss India Neha Dhupia, actor Raghav Juyal, and jury member Anusha Dandekar.

This edition of the pageant initiated a nationwide search for talent through extensive on-ground auditions, leading to the selection of 30 state winners. These contestants underwent rigorous training and grooming in a pageant boot camp led by industry experts.

The 30 state winners competed fiercely for the title of Femina Miss India 2024 at the Grand Finale. The winner will go on to represent India at the Miss World pageant, gaining not only fame but also the opportunity to reside in Mumbai, the entertainment capital of India.

Continuing a legacy that includes five Miss World titleholders—Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chhillar (2017)—the anticipation for the new titleholder was high.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of India's iconic beauty pageant, the Miss India Organization has launched a music anthem titled "Rise of Queen," which is now available on all streaming platforms.
