On the arrest warrant issued against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a press conference that we have received information about this through some reports.
He said, "We have seen some reports recently, but we cannot say anything on this." Regarding Sheikh Hasina's stay in India, Randhir Jaiswal said, "She came to India on a short notice from the security point of view. Since then she has been living here."
On Thursday, a special court in Bangladesh has issued an arrest warrant against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is accused of being involved in crimes in the country during July-August unrest.
In connection with two separate petitions, arrest warrants have been issued by the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) against a total of 46 people, including Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader. They have been ordered to appear before the tribunal before November 18.
On August 5, due to student agitation and protests, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left the country and came to India. Since then she has been living in India.
