Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that by promoting cow rearing in Madhya Pradesh, the work of economic empowerment of farmers and cow rearers is being done.
In place of Kanji House in cities, cow shelters will be started for the care of cows. Dr. Yadav said that by increasing the production of milk in more than 51 thousand villages of the state, there is an effort to bring Madhya Pradesh to the first place in the whole country in this field. Along with this, all efforts will also be made to bring the state from third place to first place in the next livestock census.
Credit card on cow rearing
CM Mohan Yadav said that an initiative has been taken to give credit card on cow rearing in the state. Dr. Yadav was addressing the state level Govardhan Puja ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan premises Bhopal on Saturday.
CM Dr. Yadav said that a strategy has been prepared to increase milk production in the state by contracting with the National Dairy Development Board. In Madhya Pradesh, concrete steps have been taken to help farmers and cattle rearers in the milk cooperative sector on the Gujarat pattern. Those cattle rearers who will rear 10 or more cows will also be given special grants. Efforts are being made to increase milk production in the state.
7 years jail for cow slaughter
CM Dr. Yadav said that proper provisions are being made for the protection of Gau Mata in the state rich in cows. Adequate arrangements have been made to stop cow slaughter. There is a legal provision to give 7 years rigorous punishment if found guilty of cow slaughter.
The CM said that Madhya Pradesh is rich in cows. There are about 1 crore 39 lakh cows in the state. According to the animal census of the year 2019, Madhya Pradesh is at the third place. We will try to come first in the country in the next animal census.
Cow-keepers feted
The CM also performed Govardhan Puja along with cows from various cow shelters in the Ravindra Bhavan premises. An exhibition of cow products was also organized on this occasion. CM Dr. Yadav saw many cow products displayed in the exhibition, including cow ghee, other products and artifacts made from cow dung.
The Chief Minister also honored the operators of various cow shelters for their best services. Hariom Anand, director of Indore Gaushala, Suraj Singh Parmar, Sonu Jain, Pradeep Kumar Jain associated with Gayatri Parivar and other Gaushala operators of Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior etc. were present in this programme.
