Delhi Elections-2025: Kejriwal Launches Mahila Samman Yojana for Women Ahead of Polls, See Key Details

 


Ahead of Delhi Elections-2025, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal has introduced the Mahila Samman Yojana, providing Rs 1000 monthly to women aged 18 and above. Former Chief Minister Kejriwal, announced the initiative on Thursday. 


He said the registration for the scheme begins immediately. Kejriwal also indicated that  after elections, the monthly assistance will be hiked to Rs 2100.


In addition to this initiative, Kejriwal made several announcements for auto drivers recently during a visit to their community. The key announcements include:


₹Rs1 lakh will be provided for the marriage of an auto driver's daughter.

₹2500 will be allocated for making uniforms during Holi and Diwali.


Life insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh and accidental insurance of Rs 5 lakh will be implemented.


Financial support will be available for the coaching of auto drivers' children.


As the Delhi Assembly elections approach in February next year, Kejriwal confirmed that AAP will contest independently, dismissing rumors of a potential alliance with Congress.
