What are the demands of the farmers?
Farmers are protesting for several key demands, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP), the implementation of the Swaminathan Commission's recommendations for crop pricing, and the removal of agriculture from World Trade Organization regulations. Additionally, they are advocating for pensions for farmers and agricultural laborers. The call for the implementation of MSP and the Swaminathan Commission's recommendations remains central to their agitation.
