UIDAI Extends Deadline for Free Aadhaar Card Updates: Find Out Until When You Can Update Yours


Aadhaar card free online update: UIDAI has given relief to Aadhaar holders by extending the date for updating Aadhaar card online for free. Now people can update Aadhaar card till 14 June 2025. This service is available only on MyAadhaar portal. Earlier, the last date for updating Aadhaar was 14 June 2024, which was later extended to 14 September 2024, then 14 December 2024 and now 14 June 2025.


UIDAI said in a tweet, "#UIDAl extends free online document upload facility till 14th June 2025; to benefit millions of Aadhaar Number Holders. This free service is available only on #myAadhaar portal. UIDAl has been encouraging people to keep documents updated in their #Aadhaar."


Follow these steps to update Aadhaar details online


If you want to update any information in your Aadhaar, it can be done online from home. For this, we are giving the steps below:


Visit the official UIDAI website (MyAadhaar portalEnter your Aadhaar number, captcha code and OTP received on the registered mobile number.


Go to the Document Update section.


Select the type of document from the dropdown menu and upload the scanned copy of the required documents.


Keep the service request number safe to track the status of your Aadhaar update.


Offline process for biometric update


If you want to do biometric update (such as fingerprint, iris scan, or photo), then for this you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrollment Center. For this:


First of all download the form from the UIDAI website.


Fill the form completely with the required documents and submit it at the nearest center.


Biometric verification: Submit your biometric data (fingerprint, iris scan etc.) for verification.


You will be given a slip, which will contain your Update Request Number (URN). Through this you can track the status of your update.


UIDAI is periodically encouraging Aadhaar holders to update their documents so that their information remains correct and valid. This helps in availing benefits of government schemes and services.
