Fire Breaks Out at Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela, Several Pandals Gutted

A fire erupted in Sector-22 of the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela, affecting several pandals and creating a chaotic scene at the fair. Fire engines promptly arrived at the location. Fortunately, no devotees were present at the site of the fire, and there have been no reported casualties. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time. Several pandals have been gutted in the fire.

This incident follows a previous fire on January 19, where 180 pandals at Gia Press in Sector-19 were gutted. That fire was attributed to a gas leak while making tea in the camp, which led to two gas cylinder explosions, but, like the recent incident, there were no casualties reported.

Emergency responders and administrative officials quickly arrived on the scene to monitor the situation and manage the response. While the cause of the latest fire is under investigation, concerns have been raised about the safety of the large number of devotees attending the event. In light of these incidents, the administration has pledged to enhance security measures.

The Maha Kumbh administration has initiated an investigation into the fire incidents, emphasizing that any negligence in safety protocols will not be tolerated, and strict actions will be taken against those responsible.
