What did the Congress say on the news of the decline in foreign exchange reserves?


The Congress reacted on Saturday to the decline in the country's foreign exchange reserves.


The Congress posted on the social media platform X and wrote, "Narendra Modi has failed on every front. The figures testify to this."


The Congress has said this while citing the media reports which said that the foreign exchange reserves have reached a 10-month low.


The Congress said, "The decline in the country's foreign exchange reserves continues. Now the foreign exchange reserves have come down to $ 625.87 billion, which is a 10-month low."


"The foreign exchange reserves have declined by about $ 80 billion in the last 3 months."


The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that the country's foreign exchange reserves fell by $ 8.71 billion to $ 625.87 billion in the week ended January 10.


RBI said that during the previous week, it had declined by $ 5.69 billion and stood at $ 634.58 billion.


Gold reserves rise


Meanwhile, gold reserves saw an increase of USD 792 million, rising to USD 67.883 billion during the same week, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reported.
