Alert Issued in Madhya Pradesh Amid Bird Flu Concerns, Cases Found in This Dist

Bird flu cases have been confirmed in Madhya Pradesh, prompting alerts in several districts across the state. Following a severe outbreak of bird flu in neighboring Maharashtra, anxiety has surged in the bordering districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Positive cases of bird flu have been confirmed in Chhindwara, which has heightened concerns in the area. In response, authorities are exercising increased caution and have issued a formal alert in Jabalpur.

Bird flu has been confirmed in Salimeta of Badgona Joshi of Mohkhed in Chhindwara. Bird flu samples were found positive in a poultry farm here. After this, the administration has issued an alert in the entire district. Many restrictions have been imposed by declaring the area infected.

Confirmation of bird flu in Durgesh Garhwal Poultry Farm located in Salimeta has created a stir. The report of five samples taken from here has come positive. After this, the district administration has come into action.

Collector Sheelendra Singh on Saturday cancelled the leave of all the officers and employees of the Animal Husbandry Department. All have been instructed to stay in the headquarters and keep their mobile phones switched on.

The situation has escalated as Madhya Pradesh has previously faced outbreak of Avian Influenza, commonly known as bird flu, which primarily affects birds and animals, particularly chickens.

In light of the confirmed cases in Chhindwara, Jabalpur Collector Deepak Saxena has implemented strict measures. Instructions have been given for extensive sampling in both urban and rural areas of Jabalpur. Should any positive cases arise, affected areas will be sealed off to contain the spread. The Animal Husbandry Department has commenced sampling efforts, collecting a substantial number of samples for testing.

Authorities are particularly concerned following the outbreak in Maharashtra, and Collector Saxena has emphasized the importance of continuous sampling to mitigate potential risks. Should any positive cases be identified, poultry farms will be sealed to prevent further transmission.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Avian Influenza is caused by a type-A virus in birds, with a notable impact on poultry, especially chickens.
