ED has raided the house of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and AICC General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel and son Chaitanya. The team reached his house in Bhilai-3 Padumnagar today (Monday) morning in four vehicles. Documents are being searched.
It is being told that the raid is on money laundering related to the liquor scam. Also, this action may also be related to coal levy and Mahadev Satta App. Apart from this, ED action is also going on at Manoj Rajput in Nehru Nagar, Bhilai, Abhishek Thakur and Sandeep Singh in Charoda, Kamal Agarwal Kishore Rice Mill Durg, Sunil Agarwal Saheli Jewelers Durg and builder Ajay Chauhan.
False case has been going on for seven years
After this raid, a post has been made on Bhupesh Baghel's social media platform X that, when the false case going on for seven years was dismissed in the court, the guests of ED raided the former CM's house. If someone is trying to stop Congress in Punjab with this conspiracy, then it is a misunderstanding.
It is worth noting that Bhupesh Baghel has recently been made in-charge of Punjab by the Congress Party.
Chhattisgarh Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said that, at the behest of BJP, ED has reached the Bhilai residence of Congress national general secretary and former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Bhupesh's supporters protest
A large number of Congress workers and supporters are present outside Bhupesh Baghel's house in Padumnagar, Bhilai. All of them are protesting against the action of ED. According to Congress workers, the Home Minister of the state is surrounded by questions, he is not able to answer any questions in the assembly. Therefore, ED is being misused against Bhupesh Baghel.
Actually, a year ago, in the Mahadev Satta app case, the EOW (Economic Research Wing) had filed an FIR against 21 accused including former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the complaint of ED. It also includes the names of app promoter Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal and many unknown police officers and businessmen. At that time, Baghel had called it a political conspiracy.
