Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar Dubs CMs' Meeting on Delimitation a 'Criminal Syndicate'; Will a Political Battle Erupt?"

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday slammed the all-party meeting held in Tamil Nadu on the issue of delimitation. He called it a meeting of a "criminal syndicate" rather than a political meeting. In a press release, the Union Minister condemned the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government in Tamil Nadu and accused it of being deeply involved in several corruption scandals.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar described the Tamil Nadu government as "entangled in corruption", particularly pointing to the Rs 1,000 crore liquor scam. Kumar further alleged that the meeting of opposition parties in Chennai was held to divert the attention of the public from these issues. He said people are ready to defeat the DMK in the upcoming elections. DMK and other opposition parties are doing drama in the name of delimitation to divert attention from their failures.

'Cong and the BRS are essentially the same'

Bandi Sanjay Kumar said there are no official guidelines on delimitation yet and any claims by the opposition are baseless. The BJP leader also criticised the alliance between the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), claiming the two parties are essentially the same and accused the Congress of trying to protect KCR's family from corruption charges. He pointed out that the BRS had secretly compromised with the Congress, resulting in the two parties coming together at the event in Chennai, which he described as a meeting of the "liquor mafia".

'A gathering of corrupt forces'

Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the meeting in Chennai is not about delimitation; it is a gathering of corrupt forces who are planning their next move. Bandi Sanjay Kumar said what is happening in Chennai is not a political event. It is a criminal syndicate just like in the Chambal Valley. On the issue of delimitation, Sanjay Kumar assured that it will not reduce seats in the South. He termed the opposition's claims as nothing but "castles in the air".

'BJP will come to power in Telangana'

He asserted that the BJP will come to power in Telangana and the party's success in the region is inevitable. Kumar also attacked former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) saying that KCR's dream of playing a major role in national politics is over. Kumar quipped, "There was a time when KCR used to claim dominance in national politics. Now he is cutting grass in his farmhouse."

Kumar also attacked former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), saying that KCR's dream of playing a prominent role in national politics was over. "Once, KCR boasted about dominating national politics. Now, he is tending grass in his farmhouse," Kumar quipped.
