Will problems of AAP, Kejriwal increase further? Rekha Gupta-led Delhi govt set to table report on city's health infra and management

The Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government is set to table a crucial report on the city's health infrastructure and management in the Assembly tomorrow, March 3. According to the agenda released by the treasury bench, the report titled 'Management of Public Health Infrastructure and Health Services Relating to the Delhi Government,' prepared by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), will be discussed by the MLAs.

Additionally, the House is scheduled to have a brief discussion on issues related to water shortage, waterlogging, sewage blockage, and the cleaning of drains. MLAs Surya Prakash Khatri, Mohan Singh Bisht, and Raj Kumar Bhatia will initiate this discussion.

The recent series of CAG reports tabled in the Delhi Assembly has sparked a political uproar between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Almost all AAP MLAs, with the exception of one, were suspended for three days for protesting against the ruling party.

Tensions escalated during the assembly session on February 25, when Speaker Vijender Gupta suspended AAP MLAs, including Atishi and Gopal Rai, amid uproar before the CAG report was presented. In a letter addressed to Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, the Leader of Opposition in Delhi and AAP leader Atishi described the suspension as an injustice to the opposition and urged the Speaker to uphold democratic values.
