Factory did not have license to manufacture firecrackers
It has come to light that the factory, named Deepak Traders and owned by Khubchand Sindhi, held a license to sell firecrackers but not to manufacture them. Local police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
In an account from a laborer named Vijay, who was transported to Banas Medical College in Palanpur for treatment, he recounted the terrifying moment of the explosion: "We were working inside the factory when suddenly there was a blast. We did not know what had happened; there was a very loud explosion and we fell unconscious. When I opened my eyes, there was fire all around me. We somehow ran out of the factory in a burnt state."
