Congress Slams Govt's Foreign Policy

In its resolution, the Congress party criticized the foreign policy of the BJP, asserting that India's credibility has increased on the global stage during the tenures of Congress-led governments. The resolution states that the foreign policy under Congress was focused on resolving issues through dialogue to serve India's interests and maintain global balance. In contrast, the current government is accused of compromising India's foreign policy for the sake of building a personal image.

China has occupied thousands of square kilometers of Indian territory

The resolution claims that China has occupied thousands of square kilometers of Indian territory, while the current BJP government has failed to take action to maintain the status quo. Congress expressed concerns regarding China's construction of a dam on the Brahmaputra River, warning that this poses a threat to India's northeastern states. The party also highlighted the rising fundamentalism in Bangladesh, which has increased threats to minorities living there.

Call for Humanitarian Response in West Asia

The Congress party's resolution addressed the humanitarian crisis resulting from the situation in West Asia. It said thousands of lives have been lost in Gaza. The party criticized the current government's silence on this issue, reaffirming its support for a separate Palestinian state and advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Regarding relations with the United States, the resolution acknowledged the strong ties between India and America but emphasized that these should not come at the expense of India's interests.

Furthermore, Congress expressed dissatisfaction with the U.S. imposing heavy tariffs on India and the treatment of Indian immigrants being sent back to India in a humiliating manner, labeling it a failure of the government.

Law for MSP

In the resolution, Congress reiterated its commitment to enacting a law regarding the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, emphasizing the party's dedication to agricultural welfare.
