Protests are being held in different parts of the country on the Waqf Amendment Bill. The Waqf Amendment Bill will be presented in the Lok Sabha on April 2 at 12 noon after the Question Hour. Speaker Om Birla has set a time of 8 hours for debate on this. After this the bill will be passed in the Lok Sabha.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi called the Waqf Amendment Bill a 'Waqf ruin bill'. He alleged that the government's sole motive is to spread hatred against Muslims and impose the ideology of Hindutva. Owaisi appealed to Chandrababu Naidu that he should think carefully about what he wants to get done.

SP President Akhilesh Yadav stated that every decision made by the BJP is aimed at securing votes. He expressed that the Samajwadi Party is opposed to the Waqf Bill. He said that due to the administration's wrong decisions, a divide has emerged against the culture and brotherhood of India. He questioned, "While we were accused of practicing appeasement, is the BJP not engaging in appeasement by distributing kits on Eid?"

When the Business Advisory Committee gave this information, the opposition said that the debate should be for 12 hours. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the time for discussion on the bill can be extended.

Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo and MP Akhilesh Yadav said that we will oppose the bill. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that reform in Waqf is the need of the hour.

There was an uproar in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday also on the Waqf Amendment Bill. As soon as the Question Hour ended, the opposition started sloganeering. After this the Speaker adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm.

Waqf has become a means of forceful occupation of govt property: Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that every good work faces opposition, and similarly, there is a commotion regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. He expressed his desire to ask those causing a disturbance on this issue: "Has the Waqf Board done any welfare for Muslims as well? The Waqf has become a means of forceful occupation of government property."

Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora: For the last 75 years, fake stories are being used to mislead Muslims. Common Muslims do not want appeasement; they want empowerment. Muslims will benefit the most from the Waqf Bill.
