India foils Pakistan's attacks on military bases; Nawaz Sharif calls emergency meeting



Islamabad: The Indian Armed Forces are running Operation Sindoor against Pakistani terrorist organizations. On the night of May 7, at around 1 am, the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), killing more than 100 terrorists in this attack. 


On May 8, the armed forces carried out drone attacks in Lahore and Rawalpindi in Pakistan. There is an atmosphere of fear in Pakistan due to drone attacks, in view of this, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called an emergency meeting.


Four of Pakistan soldiers were injured in a drone attack by India. At the same time, the Pak army claimed that its armed forces have shot down several unmanned aircrafts (UAVs) fired by India. Pakistani Army spokesman Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said in Islamabad that a drone fell near Lahore, in which four soldiers were injured.


The Pakistani Army spokesman claimed that drones have been shot down in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Miano, Karachi, Chhor, Rawalpindi and Attock. The Pakistani army said in a statement, 'So far, 25 Harop drones manufactured in Israel have been shot down by the Pakistani army's soft kill (technical) and hard kill (weapons).'


Pak Army Chief, top officials to attend meeting called by Sharif 


After India's drone attack, Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif has called an emergency meeting. Pak Army Chief Asim Munir along with all the major military officials and top leaders of the Pakistan government will attend this meeting. It is believed that Shahbaz Sharif has called this meeting to prepare a plan for retaliation against India's Operation Sindoor.


India foiled Pakistan's attack


India destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan by carrying out air strikes on the night of May 7. In response, Pakistan tried to attack several military bases in northern and western India on Wednesday, which was foiled by the Indian Army. On the night of 07-08 May 2025, the Pakistan Army tried to attack military installations in Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj using drones and missiles.
