Operation Sindoor: Rajasthan: Districts bordering Pakistan on high alert, new guidelines in Barmer and Jaisalmer



Operation Sindoor: Amid India-Pakistan tension, Rajasthan's border districts are on high alert. After the shelling that continued till late Thursday night, the administration has issued new guidelines in Barmer and Jaisalmer districts on Friday.


On the appeal of the administration, traders of Barmer and Jaisalmer have closed all markets and establishments at 5 pm.


There will be a 12-hour blackout in both the districts from 6 pm to 6 am on Saturday. People have also been urged to stay at home.


There will be a blackout from 7 pm to 6 am in Bikaner, Sriganganagar and Phalodi districts.


There will be a ban on vehicles throughout the night in Barmer. Whereas, entry within five kilometers of the defense area has been completely stopped.


All kinds of social programs have been banned in Jaisalmer. Organizing all types of programs including fairs, processions, religious processions, rallies, exhibitions will be banned.


Many trains going to Barmer and Jaisalmer canceled


According to the information given by North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Shashi Kiran, many trains going to Barmer and Jaisalmer have also been canceled.


The district administration has issued orders regarding blackout in Jodhpur, there will be a blackout here from 12 midnight to 4 am.


Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a cabinet meeting in the CM's Office on Friday evening.


He issued a statement after the meeting and said that a detailed review of the administrative system and disaster relief related preparations of the state was done.


The CM said that arrangements are also being made to provide additional ambulances, fire brigades and blood bank services in the border districts.
