Operation Sindoor: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has said that if military action is taken against India, it will be given a strong response. Jaishankar made this statement during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Araghchi is on a visit to India to participate in the bilateral cooperation review meeting on the 75th anniversary of the India-Iran Friendship Treaty. Jaishankar gave information about this by posting on X.
He informed the Iranian Foreign Minister about the attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April and said that "this attack forced us to attack across the border."
The Indian Foreign Minister said that after the Pahalgam attack on 22 April, India attacked across the border on 7 May by targeting 'terrorist hideouts'.
Jaishankar said, "We do not want to escalate tensions, but if military action is taken against us, there is no doubt that we will respond very strongly."
Jaishankar told Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi, "As a neighbour and a close partner, it is important that you are well aware of the situation.
