Pahalgam attack: Is attack on Pakistan imminent, leave of staff in factories making weapons and ammunition canceled, high target given by govt


Tensions between India and Pakistan are at their peak since the Pahalgam attack. There are apprehensions of war breaking out anytime. In view of these apprehensions, Munitions India Limited, the country's largest ordnance factory that supplies the most ammunition to the army, has cancelled the leave of all employees.


Munitions India Limited (MIL), which comes under the Central Security Institute, has issued instructions to all production units, under which the leaves of officers and employees have been cancelled with immediate effect. It has been decided to give leave only for two days if absolutely necessary.


The notice issued by the Deputy General Manager of the factory said that as per the instructions received from the Chairman and Managing Director of Munitions India Limited (MIL), "all types of leaves" have been cancelled with immediate effect. High target has been cited in this notification.


Also, this notice said that all employees should report to duty without fail. The notice also said that "uninterrupted attendance and contribution should be ensured in accordance with national requirements during this critical period."


However, the factory's PRO Avinash Shankar has said that our target is very big in this financial year and we have not been able to achieve our desired target in April, so to compensate for this, we have been instructed by the headquarters to cancel holidays, so that we have sufficient workforce.

More than four and a half thousand employees are deployed in Jabalpur-based Ordnance Factory Khamaria. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the units engaged in ammunition production have been put on high alert.
