What did Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Jagdish Deora say in his clarification on the allegation of 'insult to the Army'? What did Priyanka Gandhi say?

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora clarified the controversy over his statement about the army.

Jagdish Deora told media, "Congress is presenting my statement in a wrong way. The channels on which this (statement) is being shown in a distorted manner are presenting it in a wrong way."

He said, "I had said in a program in Jabalpur that the work done by the country's army in Operation Sindoor cannot be praised enough. The people of the country bow down to the feet of the Indian Army. We salute them and respect them. Whatever is said about the army is less. These words have been spoken by me."

Deora said, "They are distorting and presenting it in a wrong way. I think action should be taken against those who are presenting it in a wrong way and conspiring."

A video of Jagdish Deora is going viral on social media, in which he is heard saying, "I would like to thank the successful Prime Minister. The whole country, the country's army, those soldiers... bow down to his feet. The whole country bows down to his feet."

Constant insult of our army by BJP leaders is extremely shameful: Priyanka

Congress has alleged that Jagdish Deora has insulted the army.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi reacted to the statement given by Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Jagdish Deora on the army.

Priyanka Gandhi, Congress MP from Wayanad, Kerala, wrote on the social media platform X, "The constant insult of our army by BJP leaders is extremely shameful and unfortunate. First a minister of Madhya Pradesh made an indecent comment on women soldiers and now their deputy chief minister has insulted the army."

"The people of the whole country are proud of the bravery of the army but the people of BJP are insulting the army and instead of taking action against these leaders, BJP is trying its best to shield them. What message does BJP want to give to our army and countrymen by doing this?"

However, BJP spokesperson Ashish Agarwal has said that Congress is distorting the statement of the Deputy CM.
