Puri's Jagannath Yatra is one of the most sacred religious pilgrimages in India, which starts every year from the second date of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month and continues till Dashami date. This time this journey will start from 27 June and end on 5 July.

Once Radha Rani went to the Jagannath temple
According to the mythological story, once Radha Rani went to the Jagannath temple and expressed her desire to see Lord Jagannath ji. With this desire, she reached the Jagannath temple, but as soon as she stepped to enter the temple, the priest stopped her at the door. Radha ji was surprised by this behavior of the priest and asked the reason for this?
Then the priest said, Devi, you are the lover of Lord Krishna, not his married wife. Hearing this, Radha Rani got very angry and cursed the priest that from today onward, if any unmarried couple enters this temple together, then they will not get love for the rest of their life. It is said that due to this curse of Radha ji, even today no unmarried couple goes to the Jagannath temple together for darshan.
