A Jaguar fighter plane crashed in Churu district of Rajasthan on July 9. In this accident, 2 pilots of the Indian Air Force were martyred, but had they chosen to eject from the burning plane then perhaps their lives could have been saved. However, the real reason why they did not do so will be clear in the investigation.
Looking at the plane crash, it seems that both the pilots have saved thousands of lives by making the supreme sacrifice. 44-year-old Squadron Leader Lokendra Singh Sindhu, who was martyred in this accident, was a resident of Rohtak in Haryana and 23-year-old Flight Lieutenant Rishiraj was a resident of Khinwadi village in Sumerpur, Pali.
An eyewitness to the incident, a villager of Bhanuda village, said that both the pilots saved 1200 families of our village by making the sacrifice. Both remembered their duty till the last moment. He told that we can never forget what we saw with our own eyes. On one side the fighter jet was burning after turning into debris, while on the other side both the pilots chose not to eject.
Villager saw the plane swaying in the air
The villager said that on Wednesday afternoon around 12:30 it felt as if a bomb had exploded. He said that he was in the village at the time of the accident. I saw that a plane was swaying in the air sometimes left and sometimes right and then suddenly collided with a tree.
After colliding with the tree, it dragged on the ground for about 100 meters. During this the plane caught fire. When the plane fell, there was a very loud sound, it seemed as if many bombs had exploded. After this there was a commotion in the whole village. A crowd gathered at the spot. After this the police was informed.
