Land at Rs. 1 for medical colleges, up to Rs. 30 crore subsidy for hotel projects: CM Mohan Yadav engages with Indian Diaspora and Friends of MP in Barcelona


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state is no longer just a land of potential but a robust platform with supportive ecosystem for investment. Today, development and investment are progressing hand in hand in the state.

CM Dr. Yadav remarked, addressing a gathering of the Indian diaspora and ‘Friends of MP’ in Barcelona, “Indians living abroad are not just citizens but also custodians of Indian culture.” He added that the sense of belonging he felt among the Indian community in Barcelona made him feel as he were in Ujjain. He said, “Wherever Indians go, they uphold traditions and festivals with dignity”. “This interaction is not merely a dialogue but a heartfelt connection.” 

Land at Rs. 1 for Medical Colleges

CM Mohan Yadav announced that to boost medical education, the government will offer 25 acres of land for just Rs. 1 to institutions or investors setting up medical colleges—enabling quality healthcare access in rural and underserved regions.

Up to Rs. 30 Crore Subsidy for Hotel Projects

The CM stated highlighting tourism promotion, that hotel projects worth up to Rs.100 crore are eligible for financial assistance of up to Rs. 30 crore. This aims to develop world-class tourism infrastructure in the state.

Opportunities in IT, Pharma, and Tourism

CM Mohan Yadav noted that sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, agro-processing, and tourism offer immense investment opportunities. The government is actively working to expand the IT sector to smaller cities. Each sector has dedicated policies and support structures.

Target of 50 Medical Colleges

The Chief Minister informed that Madhya Pradesh currently has 37 medical colleges, and the target is to increase this number to 50 within two years. This expansion will provide local opportunities for youth in medical education.

IT Access and Jobs in Small Towns

CM Dr. Yadav shared that the state is integrating small towns into the digital and tech mainstream by facilitating the establishment of IT industries, helping local youth find employment within their hometowns and preventing migration.

Appeal to the Diaspora to Join MP's Growth Journey

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, concluding his address, warmly urged the Indian diaspora to actively participate in Madhya Pradesh’s development journey. “The Government doesn’t just listen—it acts on every suggestion,” he said. “This state is the heart of India, where every effort and connection is truly welcomed.”
