Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's big gift for those working in education sector ahead of Bihar assembly election-2025
Bihar assembly election-2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar CM Nitish Kumar has made many announcements for Bihar in recent times. Now he has announced that the honorarium of mid-day meal cooks, night watchmen, physical education and health instructors working in government schools of the state has been doubled.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave this information on social media platform X on Friday morning.
He wrote, "Cooks, night watchmen and physical education and health instructors have played an important role in strengthening the education system."
"Keeping this in mind, we have decided to double the honorarium of these workers by increasing it respectably."
The CM said, "It has been decided to double the honorarium of cooks working in mid-day meal under the education department from Rs 1650 to Rs 3300."
He said, "At the same time, it has been decided to increase the honorarium of night watchmen working in secondary/higher education schools from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000."
“It has been decided to double the honorarium of physical education and health instructors from Rs 8,000 to Rs 16,000. Also, it has been decided to increase their annual salary increment from Rs 200 to Rs 400.”'
Nitish Kumar said since the formation of the government in November 2005, we have been continuously working to improve the education system. In the year 2005, the total budget for education was Rs 4366 crore which has now increased to Rs 77690 crore. The education system has improved considerably due to the appointment of a large number of teachers, construction of new school buildings and development of infrastructure, he added.
