PM Modi may attend SCO summit, what China said about India?
PM Modi May Attend SCO Meeting: There has been a stir on the international stage regarding the possible visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China. There are reports that PM Modi may visit China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held later this month. If this visit happens, it will be PM Modi's first visit to China in the last seven years. However, this visit has not been officially confirmed by India or China yet.
China has viewed PM Modi's possible visit from a very positive perspective. China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday that they welcome Prime Minister Modi to the SCO Tianjin Summit. He described this visit as an important step towards improving and advancing India-China relations. China hopes that this visit can infuse new energy in the relations between the two countries.
Putin may also attend
This time's Tianjin summit is going to be the biggest event in the history of SCO. China has said that leaders of more than 20 countries will participate in this conference. Apart from the heads of all member countries, heads of 10 international organisations will also be present. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also expected to attend this event.
China believes that with the joint efforts of all member countries, this conference will become a symbol of unity, friendship and cooperation. Spokesperson Guo said that this conference will give a new direction to the organisation, where high-quality development will be possible with more coordination, dynamism and productivity.
