Bhopal: What Minister Vishwas Sarang Said While Meeting With Vicharpur Football Team Players
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang met with the players of the football team from Vicharpur village in Shahdol district, affectionately known as 'Mini Brazil,' at TT Nagar Stadium in Bhopal on Thursday. During the meeting, he expressed his encouragement and pride, stating that this moment is significant not only for Madhya Pradesh but for the entire country.
Minister Sarang highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned Vicharpur in the 'Mann Ki Baat' program on July 30, 2023,calling it 'Mini Brazil.' This recognition by the PM Modi has provided a new identity to the players of Vicharpur, helping them gain visibility on the global stage. Following this acknowledgment, Germany's esteemed football club F.C. Ingolstadt 04 has shown interest in providing world-class training to the Vicharpur players.
Players from Vicharpur are now representing the entire nation
Sarang said young athletes from Vicharpur have immense potential. He said that they are now representing not just their village or state, but the entire nation. He encouraged the players to elevate their game to a level where India is recognized internationally as the 'Mini Vicharpur' team. Minister Sarang wished the players a prosperous future and expressed hope that this opportunity will inspire sports talent across the state in the years to come.

During the conversation with Minister Sarang, the players said that if they get an opportunity to go to Germany, they will further improve their sports skills and come back and share the techniques and experience learned there with their colleagues and the coming generation.
A total of 4 players will get the opportunity
Germany's football club is inviting a total of 4 players and 1 coach from Vicharpur village from 4 to 12 October 2025. This will include 2 boys and 2 girl players. They will be provided world-class training, modern facilities and practical experience of the game.
For this, the selection process will be organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, in which technical criteria, achievements of the players and physical fitness will be made the basis. This opportunity will give a new direction to the future of the players of Vicharpur and will prove to be an important milestone in getting the sports talent of the state recognized at the global level.
