Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav celebrates arrival of bisons and ostriches in Indore Zoo, engages with colourful birds
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Indore Zoo on Monday morning, where his affection for animals and birds was clearly visible. He observed the wildlife and lovingly engaged with the colorful birds.
Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav shared that under the Tiger Breeding and Exchange Program, Indore Zoo has received four wild bison, named Rudra, Tulsi, Kalki and Tapti, from Shimoga Zoo, in exchange for one tiger sent from Indore. Along with the bison, the zoo has also received two pairs of ostriches.
Central India’s most attractive aquarium will also be established
In total, eight new exotic animals have recently joined the Indore Zoo family. He further added that this is a matter of pride not just for Indore but for the entire state. Very soon, Central India’s most attractive aquarium will also be established here.
CM Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is continually becoming richer in terms of its wildlife wealth. After the arrival of cheetahs in Kuno, Sheopur, the Indore Zoo has now received two pairs of bisons and ostriches from Shimoga Zoo.
On the arrival of these new members, CM congratulated the people of Indore, stating that building a connection with animals brings us closer to nature. Protecting and nurturing them is a shared responsibility of society. He also mentioned that the favorable environment of Madhya Pradesh is helping wild animals to reproduce.
Zoo will be receiving more exciting additions
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that the zebras previously brought to Indore Zoo were cared for so well that they successfully reproduced. He also announced that the zoo will be receiving more exciting additions in the coming days.
During his visit, he observed the “Bird Park,” enclosures of bison and ostriches, and the snake aquarium where he saw a king cobra, while also gathering information about various species.
