Tesla Door Handle Problems: Parents Struggle to Open Rear Doors to Take Children Out; What Action Is US Safety Agency Planning?
Tesla, the electric car company led by Elon Musk, is having some issues again. Their high-tech cars are impressive, but some parents are facing a problem. When they get out to pick up their kids from the back seat, the door handles won't open!
Parents had to break the car window to get to their kids
Many parents have reported this to the US safety agency. They said that after leaving the car, the handles stop working when they try to open the rear door to help their children. So far, there have been nine cases where the doors didn't open, and in four of these cases, parents had to break the car window to get to their kids.
Now, the US traffic safety agency, NHTSA, is looking into this issue with about 1,74,000 Tesla Model S cars made in 2021. They started the investigation after hearing complaints about the electronic door handles not working properly.
