Trump tariffs: What warning Trump issued to semiconductor chip manufacturing companies?
Trump Tariffs: US President Donald Trump is soon going to burst a new tariff bomb on the world. He has recently even threatened about this. However, this time the US President is not targeting any country but the companies making semiconductor chips. Trump has threatened to impose tariffs on these companies.
Trump has warned the semiconductor chip manufacturing companies that he will impose heavy tariffs on those companies which will not invest in America. He said that he will announce it soon. Apart from this, Trump said that it will not include those companies which are opening their plants in America or are thinking about it.
100 percent tariff on import of semiconductor chips
Donald Trump said in a press conference held at the White House that now his government is considering imposing tariffs on the import of semiconductor chips. He said, the tariff will be only for those companies, which are not investing in chip plants in America. He also said last month that America will impose 100 percent tariff on import of semiconductor chips and the government has also started taking steps for this.
The market is already in turmoil due to the constant tariff threats from President Trump. Trade war has been started all over the world. Trump is using tariff as a weapon. He considers it an important part of his 'America First' policy. He believes that in this way he can put pressure on the countries imposing tariff on America, as well as reduce the trade deficit that has been going on for years.
Court has declared these tariffs illegal
An appeal has been made in the federal courts against the tariff imposed by President Trump, and a federal court has declared these tariffs illegal. Trump is accused of misusing his powers under the Constitution. The Trump administration has challenged this decision in the Supreme Court.
